All orders are subject to review by Academy Arms & Optics for inventory, payment authorization, customer information, shipping information, legal compliance, and any required FFL documentation.

Customer-requested cancellations are not accepted after an order is placed. Academy Arms & Optics may cancel an order that cannot be completed because of inventory, payment, legal, transfer, address, or compliance issues. If we cancel an order, any captured payment will be refunded and any uncaptured authorization will be voided or allowed to expire.

• Firearms, frames, receivers, NFA items, or mixed orders containing any regulated item: $40 flat-rate shipping.

The firearm or regulated-item rate controls whenever one shipment contains both regulated and non-regulated merchandise.

Most orders are prepared for shipment within 5 to 7 business days after payment, address, inventory, and compliance review are complete. Firearms, NFA items, and other regulated products may require additional time for FFL verification, documentation, or legal review.

Processing times are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates. Carrier delays, severe weather, holidays, failed delivery attempts, and legal or documentation issues may extend delivery time.

In-store pickup is free. Wait until Academy Arms & Optics confirms that the order is ready before arriving. The person completing pickup or transfer must present required identification and satisfy every applicable age, residency, background-check, and transfer requirement.

Firearms, frames, receivers, and any other item legally requiring an FFL transfer will be shipped only to an eligible, verified Federal Firearms Licensee where the sale and transfer are lawful.

Before ordering, the customer should contact the receiving dealer to confirm that the dealer:

• will accept the shipment;
• has a current license;
• will complete the requested transfer; and
• has disclosed any transfer fees or local requirements.

Transfer fees charged by the receiving dealer are the customer’s responsibility. If a firearm is returned because the selected dealer refuses delivery, cannot legally complete the transfer, has an expired or invalid license, or is unavailable, the customer is responsible for any additional shipping or transfer costs permitted by law.

Firearms and regulated items cannot be shipped to a P.O. Box.

Suppressors, short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns, and other NFA-regulated items may be sold and transferred only where lawful and only through the required federal, state, local, dealer, and tax-stamp processes. Additional documentation and processing time will apply.

Academy Arms & Optics does not currently ship ammunition. Ammunition is available for lawful in-store purchase or pickup only. Contact the store for current caliber availability.

Eligible accessories may be shipped to a P.O. Box when the selected carrier and the product’s shipping classification permit it. Firearms, NFA items, ammunition, hazardous materials, and any carrier-restricted merchandise require an eligible physical address.

The customer is responsible for confirming that the purchase, possession, transfer, and use of an item are lawful in the customer’s jurisdiction. Academy Arms & Optics independently reviews orders and may refuse or cancel any order that cannot be lawfully sold, shipped, possessed, or transferred.

Restrictions may vary by state, county, municipality, product configuration, magazine capacity, age, residency, and item type. Website availability does not guarantee that an item may be shipped to every address or transferred to every customer.

All sales are final. We do not accept customer-requested cancellations, returns, refunds, or exchanges after an order is placed, except where required by law or where Academy Arms & Optics shipped the wrong item or the shipment was damaged in transit.

Inspect the shipment promptly. If the package arrives damaged or the contents do not match the order, contact Academy Arms & Optics promptly and retain the product, packaging, shipping carton, labels, and all included materials. Do not use, alter, install, transfer, or dispose of the item while the claim is being reviewed.

Product defects are handled through the applicable manufacturer’s warranty. Academy Arms & Optics does not manufacture the products it sells and does not adopt or replace a manufacturer’s warranty. We will help identify the appropriate manufacturer contact when needed.

Academy Arms & Optics offers a 90-day layaway program on eligible merchandise with management approval.

Layaway is not available on every product or order. Academy Arms & Optics determines eligibility in its discretion before accepting a deposit. Approval may depend on the product, availability, special-order status, legal restrictions, and the customer’s ability to complete any required transfer.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to open a layaway. The deposit is calculated from the complete order total, including merchandise, applicable sales tax, and shipping.

An in-stock item is removed from available inventory only after the deposit has been successfully paid and the layaway agreement has been accepted.

The layaway term is 90 calendar days.

For an in-stock item, the 90-day term begins when the deposit is paid and the layaway is accepted.

For an approved special-order firearm, the deposit may be processed when the special order is placed, but the 90-day layaway term begins when Academy Arms & Optics receives the firearm and notifies the customer that it has arrived.

Academy Arms & Optics will not extend a layaway beyond 90 days.

There is no interest, monthly fee, or service fee. Payments may be made during the 90-day term in any schedule accepted by Academy Arms & Optics. The complete remaining balance must be paid with cleared funds before the deadline.

Merchandise remains the property of Academy Arms & Optics until the complete balance has been paid and every applicable legal, identification, background-check, FFL, and transfer requirement has been satisfied.

After the deposit has been accepted, the customer may not change the layaway to a different product, configuration, serial-numbered item, or special order. Discounts, promotions, and later price changes do not modify the agreed layaway price.

All layaway payments are non-refundable.

If the customer cancels the layaway, fails to pay the complete balance within 90 days, fails to provide required information, fails to complete pickup or shipping arrangements, is legally unable to receive the item, is denied a required transfer or background check, or selects an FFL that cannot complete the transfer, the layaway will be canceled and no deposit or other payment will be refunded, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

The merchandise will be returned to available inventory after cancellation.

After final payment clears, the customer must complete pickup or provide all required shipping and FFL information within 10 business days.

Firearms and other regulated products will not be released or shipped until every applicable legal and transfer requirement has been completed. Final payment does not guarantee approval of a firearm or NFA transfer.

Shipping remains subject to the Academy Arms & Optics Shipping, Pickup, Firearm Transfers & Final Sale Policy. Any additional cost caused by inaccurate information, a rejected shipment, an unavailable receiving FFL, or a requested change after shipping is the customer’s responsibility where permitted by law.

Special-order layaways require management approval. Manufacturer availability and delivery estimates are not guaranteed. A special-order item cannot be changed or canceled after the order and deposit have been accepted.

If Academy Arms & Optics or the supplier is unable to provide the agreed item for reasons not caused by the customer, Academy Arms & Optics may offer a replacement acceptable to the customer or refund the amount paid, as required by law.

A layaway reserves eligible merchandise. It does not waive or replace any federal, state, or local law, age requirement, residency requirement, identification requirement, background check, FFL requirement, NFA process, or transfer restriction.
